About National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi. Founded in the year 1948, its motto, “Unity and Discipline”, captures, in a nutshell, the spirit and qualities it strives to inculcate among the youth of the country in order to guide the country on the path of security and progress. NCC had its aims charted in the year 1988 and continues to enthuse youths to achieve its elevated goals till date. The NCC aims at character development of the youth of our country. It is characterized by its goals of instilling character development, selfless service to the nation, secular outlook and camraderie among others. The importance of NCC is not just to inspire the students to join the armed forces of the nation but also to integrate within themselves a strength of character and morality that would hold them in good stead in their individual walks of life and in their individual careers. The DBS wing of NCC was established in ……..by……, and it has gained great momentum over the years creating a shining legacy of cadets who have called it home.
