The Physics Department, D.B.S. College, Kanpur, organized a programme for the formation of the Student Council under the banner of the Prof. C. V. Raman Physical Society on 18 September 2026.
In the programme, the following students were nominated as the office bearers of the Physical Society:
1. Mr. Priyanshu – President
2. Ms. Krishnam – Secretary
3. Mr. Rishabh Bhardwaj – Treasurer
4. Mr. Prateek Kushwaha – Executive Member
5. Mr. Aman – Executive Member
The Principal of the College, Prof. Anil Kumar Mishra, congratulated all the newly appointed office bearers and members of the Physical Society. In his address, he emphasized that time is extremely valuable in life and he explained the importance of time through several practical examples, encouraging the students to utilize their time effectively for academic and personal development.
During the programme, the Principal distributed prizes and certificates to the students who secured positions in the quiz competition “Prakriti Mein Nihit Vigyan,” held on 24 August 2026, organised by Physics Department.
Prof. Alok Srivastava, Librarian also congratulated the newly formed Physical Society and conveyed his best wishes to all its members.
The programme was conducted by Dr. O. P. Gupta (Convenor) and Dr. Swadesh Kumar Gupta (Co-Convenor). The Head of the Department, Prof. Pragya Agarwal, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing her gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, students, and all supporting staff who contributed for the successful organization of the programme.
Prof. Dhirendra Singh, Prof. Anurag Mishra, Dr. Nirpuma Saxena, Dr Sudhir Trivedi, Dr. R. K. Mishra, Dr. A. P. Srivastava, Dr. D. C. Gupta, Dr. Sarvesh Kushwaha, Dr. Jyoti Mishra, and Dr. Abhishek Johri were also present in the program.
