On 17 February 2026, the Department of Physics, D.B.S. College, Kanpur successfully organized a one-day educational visit for the students of M.Sc. Physics to the Regional Science Centre, Lucknow. The primary objective of this academic visit was to provide students with direct exposure to modern developments in science and technology and to enhance their understanding of scientific concepts through interactive learning.
The educational visit was organized under the inspiration and guidance of the Hon’ble Principal, Prof. Anil Kumar Mishra, whose encouragement and support played a vital role in making this initiative possible and meaningful for the students. During the visit, students explored various attractions at the Regional Science Centre, including the 3D show, different science galleries, and interactive modules related to energy, space science, and human anatomy. Through these interactive exhibits and working models, students were able to practically understand several scientific principles and concepts beyond the classroom environment. Several faculty members from the Department of Physics accompanied the students during the visit. Prof. Pragya Agarwal, Dr. O. P. Gupta, Dr. Jyoti Mishra, Dr. Mahendra Kumar, Dr. Swadesh Kumar Gupta, and Dr. Abhishek Johri also attended the program along with the students and guided them throughout the visit.
The educational tour proved to be highly beneficial and inspiring for the students. It helped stimulate their research interest, experimental understanding, and innovative thinking, making the visit an enriching academic experience for all participants.
