Vision
The Alumni Association, D.B.S. College, Kanpur envisions creating a strong, vibrant, and lifelong bond between the College and its alumni to support academic excellence, student development, social responsibility, and institutional growth.
Inspired by the rich academic heritage of D.B.S. College and its affiliation with Chatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, the Association aims to serve as a bridge between past, present, and future generations of learners. The vision is to harness the collective strength, experience, and wisdom of alumni to transform the College into a center of learning, innovation, values, and service, responsive to both rural and urban needs.
The Alumni Association aspires to contribute meaningfully to national development by nurturing knowledge-driven, socially conscious, and professionally competent citizens, while preserving the cultural and ethical values of Indian education.
Mission
The mission of the Alumni Association, D.B.S. College, Kanpur is to:
- Strengthen alumni–college relationships by creating an active platform for interaction, collaboration, and mutual support.
- Support academic excellence and student success through mentoring, career guidance, internships, scholarships, and skill development initiatives.
- Promote research, innovation, and professional growth by facilitating knowledge sharing, expert lectures, workshops, and alumni-led academic activities.
- Assist in institutional development by contributing ideas, resources, and expertise for improving infrastructure, academic programs, and campus life.
- Encourage social responsibility and community engagement through outreach programs, environmental initiatives, and service-oriented activities.
- Enhance global and national alumni networking, including the establishment of regional and overseas chapters.
- Uphold the values, traditions, and academic integrity of D.B.S. College, Kanpur, under the guidance of the Principal as Ex-Officio Patron.
- Align alumni activities with national educational goals, NAAC quality benchmarks, and the evolving demands of higher education and society.
- To encourage active participation of alumni in academic, cultural, professional, and members, staff, and management of the Institute for mutual cooperation and institutional development.

- To keep the alumni informed and updated about managerial, technological, academic, industrial, and business developments at national and international levels and their related environments.
- To assist and support alumni in addressing their professional, academic, entrepreneurial, and career-related challenges through guidance, mentoring, and networking.
- To institute awards, prizes, scholarships, fellowships, and financial assistance to meritorious and deserving students of the Institute, subject to availability of funds.
- To promote the welfare and well-being of alumni members, including social security, professional growth, and mutual assistance.
- To unite all members of the Association for the promotion, protection, and advancement of their common interests and for the overall betterment of the Association as decided by the General Body from time to time.
- To promote cordial relations, unity, mutual understanding, cultural harmony, and social bonding among members and their families.
- To undertake all lawful activities that are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above-mentioned objectives of the Society.
- To undertake charitable and social service activities aimed at improving the quality of life of people without discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion, gender, or region.
- To promote and undertake rural development activities for the socio-economic upliftment and empowerment of rural communities.
- To undertake and promote initiatives related to environment protection, agriculture, health, education, entrepreneurship, skill development, and social welfare, particularly for the benefit of needy and weaker sections of society.
- To conduct research and publish journals, newsletters, books, pamphlets, reports, and other printed or digital material for the purpose of education, awareness, and dissemination of knowledge.
To organize meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops, training programs, exhibitions, and awareness campaigns for academic enrichment, professional development, and dissemination of information.
